I appreciated John's immediate response even though it was 1:30am. He made arrangements for immediate service of my AC unit. Great service!

  This company is amazing  for one the PRIce !!! For two the guy (john)  who came was very polite knew  exactly what I was talking about when I told him the problem on the phone he didn't want to quote me of course on the phone which I get but he actually let me explain the situation over the phone  and I was freaking out because my furnace was not working for two days. I've called all around town and you can just feel over the phone they want to take advantage of your situation but not (john)  he was so calming and in about 35-40 he was at my house and took him 5 mins to fix the problem one quick flat rate fee warm house can't get any better than that.. If you need help make sure these guys are the first people you call you won't regret it

  We moved into a new home in December and were having problems with the heat.  John came out the next day and got everything running and checked out our air conditioning system as well.  He found some problems with air system and repaired that also.  He explained everything he was doing and charged us much less than we had been charged at our previous location for repairs from another company.  John was friendly and prompt.  I would definitely recommend him for any heat or AC issues!

  John came on a Saturday to look at an electrical problem, which he quickly diagnosed.  This involved repairs to the AC and rewiring some circuits. He did the work quickly in the evening and costs were extremely reasonable. John was friendly and did not try to sell us things we didn't need. We will use him in the future.

  John was great to work with. My condo was no longer getting cold air in the dead of summer, so I reached out to him, seeing how many positive reviews he had. They all hold up too because he was so responsive when it came to answering my questions and made sure to come out as soon as he could! He was upfront and honest about pricing, and he did a great job of explaining what was wrong to someone who doesn't know anything at all about air conditioning. Not to mention, he was able to get my condo cooled down, a/c working within the hour. Great service and would definitely use him again!

  I'm 9 months over due in writing this review.  I found JNT through Yelp and decided to contact them because of all the positive reviews others had posted.  I'm a naturally skeptical person when ALL the reviews are 5 stars, but after working with John, I can say that all the reviews are well deserved.

I had sent him an e-mail through Yelp on a Sunday about installing 3 ceiling fixtures.  Because it was Sunday, I didn't expect to get a response that day, but I got one within an hour.  After exchanging a few messages, we set up an appt for John to come to my house to do the install.  

On the day of the appt, John was running late and contacted me proactively to let me know about the delay and asked if I wanted to wait or reschedule.  I really wanted to get these lights done, so I said that I would wait.  He and a young man (sorry, but I've now forgotten his name) came around 8PM and installed 3 somewhat complicated fixtures.  It took them about an hour to get all 3 done.  I'm sure they had a very long day by the time they got to my place, yet they were extremely upbeat, courteous, & conscientious.  Their work was impeccable and almost a year later, I'm still enjoying my fixtures.  

I would highly recommend JNT (John) if you have a need.  He's prompt, professional, & I felt what he quoted me as very fair and reasonable.

  I would give JNT 10 stars if possible. John first came to my home in the middle of an 18 degree winter night to help us with our furnace that broke down. We weren't ready to purchase a new unit at that time so he helped us get the current system back in working condition and we were able to get through the rest of the winter. Fast forward to summer, our AC unit stopped working this time and we finally needed to pull the trigger on buying an entirely new HVAC unit. John was very transparent, helpful, and most of all, so incredibly kind to us through the entire process and installed the new unit seamlessly. Above all else, his level of customer service is unparalleled and I'd recommend him to anyone in need of HVAC services.

  John came out quickly, same-day as inquiry, on a Saturday to install a smart thermostat. Explained the process, helped with set up and stayed to answer all questions. Great service!

  I called John on a Friday afternoon, explaining that we moved into a new house in December and when first trying the AC unit on the second floor it wouldn't kick on. He was able to come about 90 minutes later and quickly addressed the issue, a broken thermostat. Luckily we had a nest sitting in our basement, and he was able to install it and we were back in business. He went above and beyond explaining our air filter system to us and gave recommendations on how to make some alterations due to our unit being in a very inconvenient place. Overall top notch service, and highly recommended.

  We called them at 8:00 a.m.. They came for an estimate at 10:00 a.m. and by the afternoon we had a new water tank heater. Amazing services with very competitive prices.

  After having 2 other companies come out and quote me $600-$900 for parts & labor, I decided to get a 3rd opinion. Peter came by and was able to get my furnace running in no time. He diagnosed the issue, fixed it and didn't try to sell me stuff I don't need. I plan to use JNT again for AC tune up.

  I called John at JNT Mechanical based on all the positive reviews. The first time he came out, I needed him to help me light the pilot light on our water heater--which I couldn't for the life of me get to light again. We had been out of hot water for just under a day at that point. He came and lit it Friday morning and told me to give him a call if anything else happened.

Well, the water never warmed up. Our water heater is 14 years old, so it was clear we needed to just replace it. I messaged John bright and early Saturday morning. I told him the model I wanted, and he said he would install it Monday morning. I guess I could have called around to ask if someone else could have come on the weekend, but I just didn't have it in me to try.

On Monday morning (also known as Day Four of No Hot Water...), John showed up exactly when he said he was going to with the exact model of water heater I wanted. It took about two hours to install it, and holy smokes, our water is so much better than before. In hindsight, it's clear that the water heater had been struggling to fully heat water for at least a few months.

I have nothing but good things to say about John. He was really nice, professional, efficient, and upfront about cost. It was a great experience all around.

  JNT was amazing to work with.  Our heat went out on a Sunday morning and we frantically called JNT.  We were pretty sure we knew what was wrong and told them.  Before having us pay for them to come out they suggested we try a quick troubleshooting method that could fix the issue on its own.  They easily could have skipped this and just come out and charged us for it--I so appreciate their attempt to save us money.  When that did not work they were here within an hour and got everything up and running quickly.  John could not have been kinder or easier to work with!

  We called a bunch of companies to come fix our heat on one of the coldest nights, and John at JNT was the only one who answered on the first ring. He sent out a technician named Peter who arrived on time. He quickly found the problem and just so happened to have the part on his truck which was a big relief. He even wore shoe covers as to not track snow into the house which my mom was thrilled about! We will definitely use them again for any future problems.

  Second time using JNT Mechanical Services and was very pleased.
First time they replaced our water heater. Called in the morning, got a fair quote over the phone, and the heater was replaced by end of the day.
Second time we had to replace an old electric stove with a new gas stove purchased from ABT. The folks from ABT came 3 times and failed to install it. Called John and again he took care of it. Would definitely recommend ABT for any mechanical issues. Thanks!

  John came out on a Sunday morning to fix our furnace! He even gave it a tune up. I'd highly recommend him and we'll definitely use him again in the future.

  John responded quickly to my message, and answered many of my questions even before securing the business. He came out the following day, diagnosed the issue, made the fix, and was in + out in less than an hour. He also had a better prices than any of the other companies I called.

  Seriously, JNT really is as good as it gets!! No joke.  I came home yesterday, and some time between yesterday afternoon and evening, our air conditioner went out.  It was 88 yesterday and 92 today.  I called JNT this morning around 10am, and was thrilled that he could fit me in today!  Then he surprised me by calling and saying he could get here 3 hours early if that was convenient.  It wasn't, so he changed his scheduled lunch time to fit with my need to be gone from 12-1:00pm.  Who does that????  WOW!  OK, and more good news, it was done quickly ("I think I have that part in my truck" and he did) and it was -such- a reasonable price.  I expect to be fleeced a little in the North Shore area.  Not this time!  What a wonderful experience.  John is both personal and professional, and I highly recommend JNT Mechanical Services!

  We used john this past weekend for an electrical issue with our dining room switches. Very responsive and reasonably priced. I called four other electricians recommended frequently on a north shore moms board and he was by far the quickest to respond and least expensive to come out and figure out the problem.  He will certainly be my first call next time I need someone for electrical work!

  Very satisfied with their service.  Technician came out, was thorough and didn't spend the entire visit trying to up-sell me.  He gave me some recommendations along with some things to keep an eye one, but didn't try to push a new unit down my throat.  I had my AC Unit, Furnace, Hot water heater and Sump Pumps serviced and I also had a Smart Thermostat (Ecobee3) installed.

  I give JNT a 5-star rating because: 1. They provide prompt service. They don't let customers wait long hours. They arrive at 8:20 when they say they will arrive between 8-9 am. 2. They are honest. The service man explains to me how the boiler works and what needs fixing. He also uses instruments to demonstrate the part that no longer works. 3. They are considerate. They cover their shoes before they enter my house. I am ver happy with their service, best ever:)

  Hands down, John at JNT Mechanical was top-notch.  After having our AC go out on a sweltering 90 degree humid Chicago summer day, he was there within 24 hours to look at things.  They were able to diagnose things and get things up and running.  Additionally, they offered me a great deal at a comparable rate.  I would definitely call them again.

  Our heat when out on Saturday evening, so I called JNT early Sunday at 8 AM as the temp was down to 58 inside our home. Beforehand, I checked inside the furnace and it seemed that the igniter was not lighting the gas but I wasn't sure. JNT was at my door by 9:15 AM (on a Sunday, mind you) and spent the next 45 minutes diagnosing and replacing the igniter and fixing a stuck gas valve. It's 10 AM and we have heat again. Two hours from call to fix... Love it. Thanks to John from JNT!  

We'll probably need a new furnace before next winter (it's 15 yrs old) and JNT will be the first company we call.

  John is fantastic!  After working with someone else who attempted to fix my water heater for a full week without success, I called John.  He came out during the evening to identify the problem, and returned the following morning with the part to fix my water heater.  Two days later, my furnace stopped working.  I called John, he again returned during the evening hours, and after diagnostic tests, determined that I needed a new furnace.  All of his work was done within a day, and he even vacuumed and swept up the dust.  John is knowledgeable, prompt, courteous, and efficient.  I highly recommend him and will most definitely call him again if needed.

  Called John on a Saturday afternoon during the middle of a huge snow storm. Our furnace suddenly wouldn't turn on. The temps were dropping fast outside and I knew we had to have someone out before Monday. Luckily I saw this company on Facebook. I went outside my comfort zone of calling a random company to come into my home. I read the reviews and decided after already calling my old hvac company I've used the past 15 years,  who wanted a minimum of $175 just to put me on their 14 person wait list and couldn't guarantee they'd get to my house by Tuesday, to call John. I immediately liked him. He said he'd be done at the current job he was installing at 4ish. A little before 4pm, he called to apologize, he wasn't done with the current job, but he'd be at my place between 5 & 6pm. No problem at all. ..not like we were in a hurry to leave in the middle of the snow storm! He arrived before 6pm. Immediately figured out the problem. He could've charged us anything at that point to fix our furnace. We have small children in the house and he knew it was only getting colder inside! Instead he was honest, charged us only the $85 rate, got our furnace quickly back up and running. I only wish I found him sooner! He's also an electrician, we'll def be calling John again! ! Can't recommend him enough! 🙂
